John Sweeney knows what it’s like to be down and out. He’s been misjudged since his early years, bullied by students and teachers alike. Told he’d never amount to anything and the best he could hope to be was a plumber. Yet John knew since he was little he’d figure out a way to make a difference in people’s lives.
John has created a company called Suspended Coffees that encourages others to inspire kindness and buy someone a cup of coffee. Not right when they were in line, but in advance. No one should ever feel alone in the world. Unfortunately, we’ve all felt that way at one time or another. Suspended Coffees believes that everybody matters and deserves to be cared about.
This business is a small business that has morphed into including speaking engagements for John around the world. Suspended coffees encourages everyone to be kind. You can visit their website at http://suspendedcoffees.com/ You can see John’s TedX speech below. You can also simply reach out and buy someone a coffee. Add your neighborhood cafe to the map and encourage kindness.
What a great idea and business plan. I am definitely bookmarking this one for future reference. Kindness matters. It really does.
Thanks Beth Ann – it does matter, and John is a fab guy!
