So it was NOT my idea to dress up as Marilyn Monroe and go to a contest and sing. However, I jumped on the bandwagon real quick.
See — my two friends Denise and Mel thought it was a great idea. One week later I’m wearing a blond wig and singing Happy Birthday Mr. President. It was one of the best birthdays I’ve ever had! See – it was also my birthday the day we ventured to Thornton dressed as Marilyn.
So what does this have to do with marketing? Just one thing: don’t be afraid to try things way outside of your comfort zone. You never know what might happen!
(My other friend in Chicago said we looked like we were in a drag queen contest. Now that was funny! )
