JunqueFest is a 3 day event in Webster City, Iowa held at Wilson Brewer Park (Ohio and Superior).  There will be over 50 different vendors who will be set up to sell primitive, vintage, re-purposed, up cycled, yard art, rusty, wood, architectural salvage, metal, and handmade crafts.  It’s a party!

Food for sale will be:
Fiscellas – italian sausage, beef hot dogs, and all kinds of desserts
El Paisita – beef or chicken walking tacos
Grid Iron – burgers, pork loin sandwiches and corn dogs
Mornin’ Glory – smoothies
Rockin’ Poppin’ Kettle Corn – kettle corn
Cloud 9 – cotton candy
Wine tasting by TownsEnd Winery and Stone Cliff Winery

 

Saturday and Sunday the Friends of George Reeves Memorial will be showing the original Superman movies in the basement of the depot.  George Reeves was born George Brewer and is the great great grandson of Wilson Brewer!  Read more about this portion of JunqueFest by clicking here.

 

SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES

 

Friday 4 to 7 pm 
Vendors set up at 10 am and gates open at 4 pm
Adam Lee will be performing live in front of the courthouse
Food will be available for sale north of the cabins

Adam  Lee is an authentic versatile troubadour of roots and soul. Through the years as a solo artist and songwriter, Lee has captivated audiences with accomplished acoustic guitar technique alongside his distinctive baritone voice.

         A gifted songwriter, his first self-titled body of work was released in 2009. With a variety of instruments to select from, Lee also brings to the stage a down home mandolin and a Dylan-esque harmonica.

Saturday 8 am to 7 pm
Vendors open at 8 am for your browsing and shopping pleasure
Food will be available for sale north of the cabins
Demos planned for throughout the day
John Hemingway and friends will be playing live country music in front of the courthouse in the afternoon

John Hemingway plays with the Old Fashioned Country Hoe Down players in Hampton and this concert will be much like what they do.  Musicians show up, play together and just have a fantastic time!  The bleachers will be set up and you’re invited to bring a lawn chair with you if you’d like! 
Sunday 10 to 4 pm 
Vendors open at 8 am for your browsing and shopping pleasure
Food will be available for sale north of the cabins
Bill Robb will entertain the Mulberry Center Church at 1 pm

Bill Robb was last seen playing in Ireland with some street performers.  No, we’re not kidding!  Bill enjoys music, sharing his vocal stylings and playing the guitar and harmonica.  A local favorite, expect to be entertained and enjoy some good old fashioned country gospel.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation will be provided from downtown Webster City to River Street and over to the north entrance of Wilson Brewer Park.   Along the route, they will stop at the stops signs and also in front of R Company on 2nd Street.  Please be patient, this is our first year and we’re pretty excited!

We have Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation, Southfield Wellness and Windsor Manor to thank for the rides!   Midas Transit will also be providing rides.  The buses will be running these times.

Times: Friday 4:30 to 7:30 pm.
Saturday 10 am to 6 pm
Sunday 10 am to 4 pm

And why not stop at some of our stores downtown while you’re out?  Many will be open during Saturday and some on Sunday – there’s more treasures to be found!   SOS Vintage, R Company and Heart ‘n Home will be open the same hours as JunqueFest and will have Independent Businesses being showcased as well.  Shay’s Country Creations, Avon, Advocare with Don Olson, Discover Your Personality, Tastefully Simple with Katie Tolle, and It Works.  Support our local stores that have some pretty cool ‘junque’ too!
