watkins rice

I have a friend who is a fabulous cook.  Denise also has been using Watkins products since 1982.  If you’ve never used Watkins spices – you are missing out on the freshest, most consistent grade of spices.

Denise was looking for a way to promote her home business, being an Independent Watkins Associate.  Her budget is super tight and she wanted to do something that showcases her spices and her cooking.  Facebook was the natural fit.  She could posteach day with a tip, a recipe or some news you can use at home.

That is exactly what she’s done.  Find her at http://www.facebook.com/365dayscooking

Now – here’s some just a few excerpts from her posts:

-Working late all week so my meals need to be easy & quick. Tonite I cooked chicken breasts in a little Watkins Garlic & Parsley Grapeseed Oil Article No. 01527 & seasoned with Watkins Seasoning Salt Article No. 21992. I diced up onion, green peppers & mushrooms, cooked them with the chicken. In the meantime, I cooked r ice in the microwave. Then cooked fresh green beans. Supper was done in 20 min. & tasted wonderful.

-Today I didn’t cook anything since I was gone most of the day, ended up eating out but came home and made a ice cream float using the Watkins All-Natural Pure Orange Extract Article No. 00392 Sparkling Water added to your ice cream. I like the orange but any other flavor would do also. Yummy!

-Watkins extracts have been noted as a “hot pick” by editors of Cooking With Paula Deen.

-I am in love with this dish! (this is the recipe used for the picture) Only takes me 20 min. to make. Tonight was clean out the fridge night. Have to do that a couple times a week. Last night I had made chicken breasts seasoned with Watkins Grill Seasoning Article No. 01972 left over. I am not one to waste anything & can turn about anything into a meal. I had some diced onions, celery, green pepper & carrots that needed to be used. So I sauteed the veggies & diced up chicken breasts with some Watkins Garlic & Parsley Grapeseed Oil Article No. 01527. I had some cooked rice so added that & some sliced almonds, tossed it all together. Oh the smells in the house, was wonderful. This is how I make rice bowls if you like them too.
