On the road again, just can’t wait to get on the road again ….
I’m on vacation! Sunday was spent in church, hugging the kids and leaving for Minneapolis where my 9 year old great nephew and I flew out this morning to North Carolina. Every year I head East to spend a week with my friend Lisa. We go to the beach and just have fun. This year we’re going to be doing some tai chi with two 9 year old boys (hers and mine) on the beach, swimming, fishing and crabbing.
And yes, I’ll be working out too! It will look a little different though. I plan to walk the dock right outside of our cabin at least 20 times in one day. We’re going to teach Steven how to swim and that will require hours in the ocean. There are 4 kayaks and we plan to use them all. This is the first year in a long time when I can actually do something outside and not feel like I’m going to die!
We’re not eating fast food. Tonight Lisa made spaghetti. We’ll be fishing and will catch flounder, bass and we’ll go crabbing too. It’s a week at the beach. A sweet, blessed peaceful week at the beach.
Just what the doctor ordered.
