Find the Chamber Online

The Webster City Area Economic Development and Chamber of Commerce has been diligently beefing up their internet presence.  We believe it’s a great way to stay in touch with our members and our community.  Here’s a few things we’re doing:

Enewsletter, the Chamber Chatter

Ever Monday we send out the eChatter with news of events and activities of what is happening that week (and the weeks to come) in our community.  It focuses mostly on our Chamber members, but all are welcome to receive it!  There’s a form at the bottom of the page you can sign up and get our news in your mailbox on Monday!

Facebook, www.facebook.com/WebsterCityAreaChamber

Facebook has become the first spot people go to find out news in their local community.  We share pictures from events, information from our members, job postings, links to interesting articles and more.  Our members also post on our page and we encourage them to do so!  After all, we like the news too.

Instagram – http://instagram.com/webstercitychamber

Why use Instagram for business?  Because your customers are there.  Because you can showcase what you have.  Because it’s a way for people to get to know you.  Social Media Examiner gives you 26 tips for using Instagram here.

Pinterest www.pinterest.com/WebsterCityIA

Pinterest brings in a new group of people to see what we’re doing.  It’s been a slow process, but we’re getting better at it and posting more pictures and articles.  The most popular group using Pinterest is women 25-45 years of age and guess what?  That same age group plans family vacations!  We’re a well kept secret for tourists and we’re promoting Escape to the Unexpected – come find us and find your fun.

Twitter www.twitter.com/WebCityChamber

Twitter is a funny beast.  We use it for research mostly.  We follow other locals there (@TroyManning for example) and we track what people are saying about Webster City.  Occasionally we share links to things happening locally.  We also do searches on twitter: Iowa vacations, Hamilton County, etc.  We want to know what people are saying about us and what they are looking for so we can provide answers.
