Sunday Update: What I Learned This Week

  1. 11025447_10205416025496753_373574055_oParking at the rear of the parking lot won’t kill you.  Walking back to your car won’t kill you either.  It gives you more steps on your UP band.
  2. Don’t shop hungry.  I had to go to Hy-Vee today for a meeting (client of mine) about wine (yeah, my job sucks) and didn’t eat first.
  3. I love My Fitness Pal.  They keep track of my calories and I just shoot the camera at the package the app does the rest.
  4. I can buy Strawberry Ale and have a bottle tonight.  Because … enough calories left.
  5. There is no snack food that is good for you.  I got raisins and cranberries instead.
  6. Read the damn labels.  Jees!  Who know that 8 healthy Tostitos Roasted Garlic and Black Bean chips were 140 calories?  8!  I tell ya, 8!  Who eats just 8 chips?  I did today.  I counted them out and added them to the grilled chicken breast strips and it was quite lovely.
  7. It’s almost spring and 40 degree weather is warm enough to walk!  I’ve doubled my steps this week.
