I’m one of the luckiest daughters in the world. I have a phenomenal mother.
She worked for over 40 years as a school teacher. It was okay for single women to teach in the 50’s. But when they got married they were expected to stay at home and take care of their husband and raise children.
My mom disagreed with that school of thought. You see, she loved teaching. She was one of the fortunate ones -she had a job she loved.
Isn’t that a great lesson for any mom to show her child? Do what you love.

This is so wonderful, so happy you two had just such a great time. Love you both!
And happy Mother’s Day to you, my Missouri mom!
Looks like you had a fabulous time! Fun memories, great food, and good people~ life doesn’t get much better than that.
Thanks Sara – we did have a good time. My mom is my biggest cheerleader and I’m a lucky girl to have this time with her.
