Small Biz Friday: Debworks

Most business owners don’t toot their own horn enough.  I’m no different.  I am different in that I don’t have a brick and mortar business.  I work wherever the client is.  So what does Debworks do?

We work with small businesses to show them how to create an online and offline marketing plan.

It sounds simple, and most of the time it is.  We take the time to learn what is working for you now, what you’d like to do and what might be possible.  Then we sit down and work through the solutions.  Sometimes its only a matter of setting up a blog for the client.  Sometimes its only working with staff to get them on a path they can follow.  Sometimes its the whole package – creating a calendar for the year to follow, setting up social media accounts that work for the client, training of staff and tweaking — always tweeking.

We’re a small shop and often work nights and weekends around our various other obligations.  But you know what?  That’s how our clients work too!

We also speak to all kinds of groups about social media and integrating it with your current marketing plan.  Sometimes just hearing some ideas and then a short workshop is all they need to get started.  I’m the brand ambassador for the State of Now Conferences around the United States, and I also host the Iowa conferences.  Then there’s the work I do locally, I handle communications for the Greater Franklin County Chamber of Commerce, Franklin County Tourism and Main Street.

As most small business owners, we do a little bit of everything and we do what we need to do to get it done.
