I’m exhausted.

I’m tired.

The big revelation is that much of it is self-inflicted.

I’m trying to do it all.

If every idea has to come through me, every task waits for me, and every question lands in my inbox, getting more done just means making myself more tired.

It’s time to stop using exhaustion as the evidence that I’m doing my work well. That’s the old way of working. It’s the way many women were taught to work. Do more. Be more. Stay late. Come in early. Work comes first.

I don’t have to do everything. My job is to gather my crowd around my idea, build connections, and help people take small steps.

And that’s your job too. That’s the work that creates forward movement. It’s the work that generates revenue. It’s the work that excites us and the people around us and it builds community.

This is the new Idea Friendly way. Gather Your Crowd, Build Connections, Take Small Steps. I encourage you to try it.
