It’s a good practice to surround yourself with little pieces of beauty.
You’ve heard of giving yourself little motivational talks, or posting a saying to the mirror and speaking it out loud each day. Those things work, when you remember to do them.
I‘m suggesting you place items you love within eyesight of where you are each day. At my breakfast table is container with leaves on it and inside is a card that says “I Love Life” and a bag from Athens, Greece. Every morning I look at it as I eat breakfast, and it makes me smile. No matter what mood I wake up in, looking at that little vignette makes me smile. It is a great way to start the day.
The same can be done at your office. It doesn’t have to be a big display, just a little touch of beauty will work. It can be very personal to you, and you don’t need to explain it to anyone. It’s simple enough to say “that’s my happy spot”.
